Last week, T and I were cluster sampling our Sauvignon blanc and as we reached into the heavily cropped quadrilateral trellis system, a bird flew out of the canopy and we almost had our own Fabio moment out in the vineyard. Fortunately no hospital trip was necessary and upon closer inspection we found these little guys:
And yes we touched the eggs specifically so that their mother would not return and the little dudes would be born orphans and put into The System where they will under-perform, underachieve and one day become derelict bird parents themselves, perpetuating the cycle [/sarcasm].
