Temecula

I'm sorry my last post was in April, my camera is bursting with picture!  A lot has happened since the last post.  I left my winery job and started a new one for the above company, Scott Labs.  I moved out of my Napa home.  I am Sonoma for a few weeks, then moving to San Diego.  And I just got back from visitng Temecula and Baja Mexico.

Temecula was a day visit.  I went to get to know the area because I will be representing Scott Labs products in Temecula and Baja.  South Coast Winery was the frist stop.

My first impression of Temecula is that it is Wine Disneyland.  I noticed a greater focus on tourism in this area than in Napa.  Napa gets a lot of tourist but Temecula is better set up for receiving them and has a lot to offer.

The tasting rooms are larger.

Many of the wineries have restaurants on premise (very rare in Napa).

All the wineries I visited scheduled Weddings, not an option in Napa. And ones like West Coast also have Spas.

And all the tasting rooms have so much stuff to buy.

And lots of medals!

Hey guys, it's a cougar!

Great attention to landscaping.

Selfie.

This is Wilson Creek.  Also with sprawingling beautiful landscaping, restaurant on site and wedding packages.

Conveniently packaged presents.

I was skeptical about "Almond" champagne but I tried it and now I'm a convert.  Very refreshing to have a cold glass on a hot day.

Adorable cork ornaments.

A horse maybe? With giraffe print.

Festive hedgehogs?

I've never seen this.  White Cabernet Sauvignon.  Unfortunately I didn't get to try it, but I look forward to it!

Up next will be the weeklong trip to discover the wineries in Baja Mexico.

Thanks everyone,
-L
